The walk leaves Wells through narrow streets and passageways before taking a track across to Holkham Hall Park. Entering the park and walking towards Holkham Hall with views of the Coke memorial before leaving through the impressive gateway, then walking through Holkham village and down to Holkham Gap. Returning to Wells through pine forest before reaching the lifeboat station. To finish the walk, a choice of walking beside the channel into Wells Harbour (total 6 miles walk) or taking the narrow gauge train back to Wells (cost £1-50, total 5 miles walk).6mile / 9.7km

From Wells harbour we walk out to the lifeboat station and then through pine forest to Holkham Gap. Entering Holkham Park and walking to the memorial erected in memory of Thomas Coke, a noted agricultural reformer. Passing by the lake and visiting the estate church and the ice house serving the Hall before passing the front of Holkham Hall and then out of the Park. Tracks take us back to the edge of Wells where we make our way by passageways and minor roads back to the harbour.9mile / 14.5km
